Thank you to the HOA board for pulling off another successful meeting last night! There was a small attendance at the clubhouse but many issues were covered and discussed. If you were not able to attend here is what you missed:
1. The lighting situation
As we know from last year the lights are quite an expense to our community. With the hard work of our board this issue has been addressed and progress is being made. Lights and poles are not being installed until the need arises which is allowing for the neighborhood funds to be better utilized.
2. The Pool
First.....A HUGE thank you to Jessica Moreau for her work as the Chair of the Pool Committee. This was a difficult year and she took her time to help us all enjoy the pool as much as we did this summer.
A camera system was installed this year to stop the issues that were occurring. It was a low cost solution and resolved the issue.
A discussion regarding the sinks in the restrooms is happening currently between the HOA and the developer.
The next items to be addressed for next year's pool season are furniture and a key system.
A recommendation was made to install a community board at the pool so that information can be easily displayed and accessed for everyone in the community.
3. Architectural Review
A big thanks to Scott Barton for all of his work on this committee.
The issues that seem to be occurring our not getting approval for planting over property lines, cutting down trees that are in buffer zones, and sheds. All sheds must have horizontal plank siding to match the homes. Please make sure to submit all approval through the committee. Here is the link to connect with Kohn-Ell who will send it onto the board for approval.
4. The Recycling Dumpster that is at the pool was voted to be removed and will be gone soon.
5. The Clubhouse.
The board is working with the developer currently to have the air conditioning repaired. Since this has been an issue no one has been charged for the use of the facility. If you are interested in reserving the clubhouse here is the link to connect with Kohn-Ell.
6. Vacant Lot Maintenance
There was a lot of discussion regarding this issue that our neighborhood is currently experiencing. While some lots are being built on and resolving those issues there are still several lots that are causing concern for safety and overall appearance of the neighborhood. There have been several requests placed to the developer and builders to correct the issue. The board and management company are following procedure to have this addressed. It is an issue that can cost the HOA a good amount of money that is not currently in the budget. A list of specific lots were written down and will be looked at to be addressed for the fall to hopefully get into the next year and can then be addressed on a new budget. If you have a current lot that you are specifically concerned with please contact Kohn-Ell.
7. Voting
There were 3 positions up for vote on the HOA board. The results will be announced soon. There is still a need for members to chair the Social Committee, Beautification Committee, and Pool Committee. Please contact Kohn-Ell with any interest that you may have.
